About

My name is Jo Picken

Hi, I’m Jo Picken and Im the founder of My ADHD Coach® and the Holistic Business Membership, my roots are firmly planted in two decades of mainstream and SEN teaching, Following my son’s diagnosis, I’ve journeyed through my own “late diagnosed” neurodivergent story (ADHD, PDA & Dyslexia), since then I’ve transformed my understanding and approaches to harness the distinct strengths it brings, especially in the entrepreneurial world.

On that journey I battled with my own mindset and mental health but through embracing holistic approaches I have emerge, happy and with a new sense of direction as a Master EFT Trainer of Trainers, a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner, a Reiki Master and so much more.

As someone who always felt that learning didn’t work for me, my adult adventure began in the buzz of an inclusive classroom back in 2000 – where I set out to make a difference to all the young people I taught. Then things evolved from teaching children and teenagers into championing the unique potential within mid life women who are navigating the business and digital worlds.

In creating My ADHD Coach® I’ve developed a holistic support programme based around 12-session program tailored for neurodiverse adults in business. The program is a fusion of my educational insight and my personal journey, strong sense of community and high touch coaching designed to redefine what it means to be neurodiverse and it not be a barrier, but a fountain of creativity and strength. Together, with my team we aim to empower and enhance, work with and support the amazing clients we have the privilege to work with.

I strongly believe in turning passion into purpose and profit, all while staying true to one’s authentic self and embracing the neuro-spiciness . Whether you’re embarking on your journey or seeking to scale new heights – personally and professionally, I’m here to support you with unwavering cheerleading, deep empathy and guidance.

Together, let’s redefine our story, unlock potentials, embrace our neurodiversity and emotional strengths as gateways to success and fulfillment.

“No matter your starting point, no matter your story, you can always Be Amazing”

Jenny O’Kelly

Hey, I’m Jenny, diagnosed with ADHD later in life, at 55, I finally found the missing puzzle piece that explained a lifetime of feeling like I didn’t quite fit in.

My career choices, from the adrenaline-fueled fire service to the challenging environment of the prison service, suddenly made sense – always seeking that rush of excitement and intensity.

A poignant moment came when my daughter, at just 13, expressed her wish for my hobbies to be less dangerous. Rock climbing, scuba diving, motorbikes – my quest for adrenaline was a search for dopamine, a way to feel alive in a world that sometimes felt muted.

Through understanding and embracing my ADHD, I’ve learned to channel my energy into more balanced pursuits, finding fulfilment in ways that nourish my soul without compromising my safety.

My journey is a testament to resilience, self-discovery, and the power of embracing our true selves, no matter when we find the answers.

Looking back, I have no regrets.  My journey for self-discovery led me to learn many healing modalities that I use with my clients on a regular basis.

“It’s never too late to understand, accept, and soar with the unique colours of your soul.”

Rachel Stacey-Mckay

Hello! I’m Rachel, one of your ADHD Coaches based in the charming town of Bradford on Avon. As a mum to three incredible neurodivergent kids, my journey through ADHD, dyslexia, and autism has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride—a ride I’ve learned to navigate with humor, creativity, and lots of talking!

Having ADHD myself, I truly get the highs and lows of neurodiversity. My personal and professional experiences have shaped my coaching style, where I combine EFT tapping and a bespoke mix of practical strategies to tackle day-to-day challenges and mental health hurdles. Whether it’s crafting organised spaces to soothe the overwhelmed mind or balancing the bustling demands of work and family life, I’m here to guide you through it all.

Before stepping into the world of coaching, I was a teacher and a SENCO, which armed me with insights and strategies that I now share with my clients. I’ve also dipped my toes in entrepreneurship, having created and sold two businesses, so if you’re a business owner struggling to see the big picture, I’m your girl!

When I’m not coaching, you can find me walking our dog, diving into aquafit sessions, or planning our next travel adventure. I believe in living life to the fullest and helping others do the same.

If you’re ready to transform challenges into opportunities and chaos into calm, I’d love to be part of your journey. Let’s unlock your potential together and make every day a little brighter and a lot more manageable. Welcome to a space where being different is your superpower!

Sarah Durbin

Hi, I’m Sarah, Virtual Assistant and Business Wingwoman!

I love watching a project come together, no matter the size or nature. I started my career in Hospitality and worked my way through to Weddings & Events in Hotels and Independent Venues. I learnt that I loved supporting people through their event ‘journey’ and building strong relationships with my clients and couples, becoming their ‘wingwoman’.

During my time in Events, I experienced two mega ‘burn-outs’, both times resulting in a period of poor mental and physical health, the second time really led to me reassessing what I wanted from life. I had always dreamed of being freelance, being my own boss, but I was never quite sure what that looked like for me.

Offering Virtual Business & Lifestyle support to time-poor and overwhelmed business owners was launched in the winter of 2021. My ‘light bulb’ came whilst I furloughed for the second time during the pandemic; I stumbled across the term, Virtual Assistant. Instantly I knew in my gut that this was what I was meant to do. I could ‘wingwoman’ business owners through their journey! Combining my passion for helping people, core skills and experience in admin and organisation, I make a real difference to my clients businesses and in turn, their personal lives.

When I am not working with my lovely clients, you can find me walking my Miniature Dachshund Rosie, in the gorgeous countryside between Bristol and Bath.

Getting out in nature has become imperative to keeping myself grounded and in control of my mental health. I also love to be by the sea, having grown up on the picturesque North Devonshire Coast, so you can often find me there too!

I am true crime obsessed, love everything pink and could not live without cups of tea.

Monika Toczynska

Hello! I’m Monika, Your Social Media Hero and Virtual Assistant.

I moved from Poland to the UK in 2016, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. If someone had told me that I would become a freelancer, I would have laughed.

But as time passed, I gained valuable experience working for a variety of businesses, from serving coffee to managing events. In my events portfolio, you’ll discover a range of gatherings, from board meetings to large conventions hosting nearly 400 delegates!

People may wonder why I left my events career to become a Virtual Assistant. The reason is simple – it wasn’t a passion for administration! I made the decision because I wanted to be close to my son when he was just a baby. His presence inspired me to embark on the freelancing journey, which I now can’t imagine living without!

Why did I specialize in social media? A few years back, social media presence for business owners wasn’t a priority. Today, we navigate through a world of reels, carousels, and engagements. Do we expect business owners to be social media experts and post daily? Sometimes we do… Fortunately, there’s always someone (that’s me!) to assist with content creation.

Outside of work, you’ll often find me at various soft plays and playgrounds in Bristol and nearby areas! I adore rewatching “Friends” – it’s my ultimate guilty pleasure! There are three things to note about me: I’m passionate about cooking and love preparing meals for my loved ones! I prefer my coffee black, with no milk or sugar, just pure and raw!

Lastly, I’ve been managing my own superpowers for the past 24 years. I’m a type 1 diabetic and carry my personal insulin pump with me everywhere. It may look like an old-school pager, but trust me, it’s way cooler than that!

“Here’s the golden rule: You are the shining star of your show! Let’s rock it together!”
